DIY Maple Leaf Roses

It’s that time of year! Fall brings out the best in me with the cool, crisp air and magnificent colors. I love to decorate my home with with the warm colors of  Autumn. This is a fun and unique Fall craft to spruce up your table centerpieces, or any other part of the home that needs a little touch. You could make them into a bouquet, use them as a jar/bowl filler, or even use them to make a fall wreath!

If you own or have a Maple tree in your neighborhood, you’re in luck! The only thing you will need to purchase for this easy craft is floral wire (or floral tape if you want to make stems for a bouquet). You can find these items at just about any craft store; Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or even Walmart.

Tips: The fresher the leaves, the better. You don’t want them to crack when bent. To keep your Maple Leaf Roses lasting longer, I would also consider spraying them with a little hairspray. Although it makes them a little shiny, it will keep them looking fresh throughout the rest of the year. I’ve also heard that covering the leaves in glycerin or lotion works, too. Have fun!
