I’m always on the lookout for fun alphabet learning activities that will keep my kids entertained. Alphabet Rescue is such an easy and fun way to keep kids entertained. What could be better?

How to make the best alphabet learning game for kids using cheap supplies you already have at home. Easy homeschool lesson on letters that also incorporates fine motor skills and problem solving.

Watch your kids “rescue” the letters from the tape. You can work on identifying each letter and if your kids are ready, have them say the letter sounds. I love these fun letter puzzles from Amazon. We have both upper and lower case alphabet puzzles. You can also use magnetic letters or even flash cards (just make sure they are laminated so the tape doesn’t tear them!)

I started by taping each letter from our puzzle to the wall. My preschooler is already familiar with her letters so I taped the letters in a random order. If your toddler is new to this game, try taping the letters in order to set them up for success. Are you looking for fun activities to keep your kids entertained? Try Alphabet rescue using letter puzzle pieces and masking tape. Your kids will have so much fun they won't even realize they are learning!

Have your kiddo reach and un-tape each letter from the wall. Ask them to identify the letter and possibly the letter sound if they are at that level. If you’re using a puzzle, let your preschoolers return the letter to the correct spot on the puzzle board.

This is a fun learning activity that your kids can play over and over. While my daughter was having a blast “rescuing” the taped letters she was also working on letter identification, remembering the letter sounds, and matching the letter shapes to the corresponding spot in the puzzle.

Remember kids need a lot of practice with the alphabet. This is the most crucial step for our little pre-readers. The more exposure you can give your kids to letters, letter sounds and words the faster they are likely to learn to read.
