Easy and Budget Friendly Homemade Ornaments For Kids
The older I get, the more I fall in love with the holiday season! ‘Tis the Season, am I right?! So when my son’s preschool teacher asked me to make some fun DIY ornaments for all the kids in his class, I jumped at the opportunity. Using some ribbon, bells, and beads I made the cutest homemade ornaments that I just had to share. I absolutely love how these personalized ornaments came out!

These personalize Christmas ornaments can be made as gifts for teachers and students or this can also be a great festive activity for students to do at school. These fun DIY ornaments are so easy to make kids can do it themselves. What a great idea for a holiday craft for kids!

Materials You’ll Need:
- Pony Beads in various Christmas colors
- Alphabet beads for personalization
- Ribbion or string for hanging
- Scissors
Step-By Step Tutorial For Personalized Homemade Ornaments
1. Cut a piece of ribbon about 18 inches long and string a bell on it. Make sure the ends of your ribbon are even and the bell is in the middle.

2. Now add the beads. I like to string a few Christmas colored pony beads first. Make sure to put both ends of the ribbon through the pony bead. Add 3-6 pony beads before the letter beads depending on the length of the name.

3. Let’s personalize this fun ornament with a name. After a few colorful pony beads, use letter beads to add a name to your DIY ornament. Make sure to add the letter beads starting at the end of the name first. For example for the name Luke, add the E, K, U, then L. This ensures you can read the names while the ornament is hanging on your Christmas tree.

4. Finish this festive decoration with a few more pony beads on top of the letter beads. I like to use the same number and pattern of beads that are before the name. Once you’re finished, tie a knot at the top of your ribbon and this DIY ornament is ready! (remember you can cut any excess length off the ribbon before you tie the knot.)

Aren’t these easy to make personalized Christmas ornaments so adorable? I love that this is an easy and cheap Christmas craft for kids that can be given as gifts to friends, family, and teachers. If you’re looking for the best holiday party activity for kids, look no further. I promise your kiddos are going to have blast making DIY ornaments this holiday season.
