How To Paint Fireworks With A Paper Roll
Supplies
- Paper Towel or Toilet Paper Roll
- Paints
- Black Paper (construction, card stock, or watercolor paper)
- Scissors
- Glitter
- Paper Plates (for the paint)
Step 1 Start by cutting the bottom of your paper roll into thin strips. I like to cut strips ¼ inch thick and about 2 inches long.
Spread the cut pieces outward into a circle shape. Toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, or wrapping paper rolls work best for this project!
Step 2 Pour some paint on a paper plate and dip the paper roll into the paint. Make sure your paint circle is large enough for your fanned paper roll to fit inside. If needed you can use a paint brush to spread paint evenly on the paper plate.
Step 3 Stamp the paper roll on the black paper. Lift the paper roll, rotate it slightly and stamp again for a fuller firework! Add a second color to the top of your painted firework with a fresh paper roll to really make a beautiful painted craft.
Step 4 Sprinkle a bit of glitter on the top of the paper roll painted fireworks while the paint is still wet for added pizzazz! Let the paint dry completely then gently tap any excess glitter into the trashcan. Make sure to display this fun July 4th craft for everyone to see this summer!
