Helpful Tips
- I used natural peanut butter for this recipe because it’s what I had in the pantry. It worked great but natural peanut butter is a bit more runny. So if you’re looking for a thicker peanut butter, use one like Jif or Skippy. It’s really just a matter of your PB preference!
- Microwave the chocolate for 30 second intervals and stir in-between to make sure it doesn’t burn. The coconut/vegetable oil is optional in the recipe but I find that it makes the chocolate extra smooth and perfect for dipping.
- I covered the Cheez-It sandwiches half way in chocolate and it was the perfect cracker/peanut butter/chocolate ratio (in my option). But you can always dip the entire Butterfinger sandwich in the chocolate if you’d like.
- Keep this delicious snack in a ziplock in your freezer for up to a week. I find myself grabbing 2 or 3 out of the freezer every time I walk by so they don’t last long in my house!
I can’t believe I found the perfect copy cat recipe for Butterfingers! This really is the best no bake treat that combines sweet and salty into the perfect little snack. Kids and adults will go nuts over these fun little sandwiches. Make sure you make extra because they’re sure to go fast!
