These adorable little chocolate acorns might just be the cutest fall treat you’ll ever make! They are bite-sized goodies that look just like tiny acorns, only a whole lot sweeter. Serve them as a fun party treat for Thanksgiving, family gatherings, fall parties, or simply to celebrate the season with something fun and delicious. Plus, they’re almost too cute to eat. Almost.
And the best part, they’re SO EASY! No baking or skills required. All you need is a little melted chocolate to act as the “glue” that holds everything together. Simply attach a mini Nilla wafer to a Hershey’s Kiss, add a chocolate chip on top for the little stem, and you’ve got yourself an edible acorn. No oven, no complicated ingredients, and hardly any cleanup. My kind of recipe!

Ingredients Needed
- 40 Milk Chocolate Hershey’s Kisses
- 40 Mini Nilla Wafers
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips

How To Make Chocolate Acorn Treats
- Melt the chocolate. Set aside ¼ cup of chocolate chips for the stems. Microwave the remaining chips in a small bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Attach the Hershey’s Kisses. Place the mini Nilla wafers flat side up on a parchment lined baking sheet. Add a small dab of melted chocolate to each one, then press the flat bottom of a Hershey’s Kiss on top.
- Let them set. Refrigerate the acorns for about 10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Add the stems. Reheat the leftover melted chocolate if needed. Using a toothpick, dab a tiny amount onto the center of each wafer and press a chocolate chip on top, flat side down.
- Chill and enjoy! Refrigerate for another 5 minutes until the stems are secure. Your cute little chocolate acorns are ready to eat!

These sweet little treats are a fun way to get the kids involved in the kitchen. It’s basically a fall craft and a yummy dessert all rolled into one! Let the kids assemble their own chocolate acorns while sneaking a few chocolate chips along the way (because we all know that’s going to happen). Make a big batch to scatter across your Thanksgiving dessert table, package them up as cute homemade gifts, or serve them at your next holiday party. They’re simple, inexpensive, and fun to eat!

Notes
- These adorable chocolate acorn treats do NOT need to stay refrigerated until you're ready to eat them. In fact, they're generally fine sitting out on a table all day, making them a great choice for Thanksgiving parties, fall gatherings, and classroom treats.
- There are a few easy ways to apply the melted chocolate! Simply dab a little onto each cookie using a small spoon or butter knife, transfer it to a plastic bag and snip off the corner for easy piping, or gently dip each cookie into the melted chocolate. Whatever works best for you!
- I've also seen these made with Nutter Butter Bites in place of the Nilla Wafers!
