All you need for this fun activity is paper (preferably card stock) and tape, and a few toy cars of course. I think we have about 1,000 Hot Wheels at home, so we grabbed my son’s favorite cars and got to work. This is seriously the best way to keep preschoolers entertained, especially on rainy days.

How To Make Paper Tunnels For Toy Cars

Supplies:

  • Paper – Card stock works best, but regular paper works too
  • Tape  – I used painters tape for easy clean up later
  • Toy Cars of course!

Do you have a toy car loving kid? Then grab some paper and tape for an easy activity! Make paper tunnels for toy cars using cheap supplies you already have at home.
Now that you have all your supplies – Grab 1 piece of paper and add a piece of tape about 2 inches long to the long side of the paper. Tape this side of the paper to the floor, table, or any hard surface. Bend the paper into an arch and tape the other side with another piece of tape. That’s it! Your paper tunnels are ready for playtime. Vroom, Vroom 💨

Helpful Tips

  • I like to use a whole piece of paper for each tunnel but you can also cut the paper in half and have smaller tunnels.
  • Be creative with your tunnel patterns. You can make an obstacle course or zig zap patterns for your child to follow with the toy cars. You can even make a race track for multiple kids to race down. Let’s see who wins.
  • This activity seems like all fun but it’s really helping with finger and hand manipulation and gross motor skills.
